Another company switches fleet to HVO to cut emissions

April 1st, 2025

A logistics company within the Tarros Group has transitioned its fleet to run on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) as part of its sustainability strategy.

The fleet includes more than 200 Euro 6 trucks, and the use of HVO is expected to reduce emissions by over 80% compared to conventional fuels, without compromising performance.

In early 2025, 25% of the company’s total fuel consumption came from biofuels, with 30 trucks operating entirely on HVO. The move supports broader efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions, which have already seen a 20% reduction since 1990, driven by the adoption of cleaner energy and low-carbon fuels.

The initiative was developed through collaboration between the company’s technical team and the Tarros Group’s Sustainability Office, aligning with the group’s ESG targets.
