Electric trucks added to brewery delivery fleets in London

Asahi UK has introduced its first electric delivery truck, a Volvo FE Electric 4×2 rigid, to its London fleet. The truck will deliver beers, ales, and ciders from Fuller’s Griffin Brewery to pubs across the city, supporting Asahi’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.
The electric truck replaces a diesel vehicle and can travel up to 230 km on a single charge, making it suitable for daily deliveries. The truck features advanced safety systems, including collision warning, lane-keeping support, and side collision avoidance. It also meets Lonbdon’s Direct Vision Standard (DVS) and has improved visibility with an additional passenger door window.
Asahi’s new truck is part of a seven-year plan and is covered by Volvo’s Gold Contract, ensuring maintenance and battery monitoring.
