Highland Fuels “incredibly proud” to open first HVO pump in Lerwick

Last month, Scottish fuel supplier Highland Fuels announced they were opening an HVO pump at a consumer fuel station on the island of Shetland. This move from Highland Fuels makes renewable diesel available to the domestic market. This marks the furthest north location for HVO availability in the United Kingdom, further demonstrating Highland Fuels’ dedication to the energy transition.
“This is a significant milestone not just for Shetland, but for the entire UK. By making HVO readily available to consumers, we are empowering them to make eco-conscious choices and contribute to a greener future,” said Managing Director Stephen Rhoades.
The Lerwick HVO pump is one of the latest chapters in Highland Fuels’ extensive sustainability narrative. The Scottish fuel provider has been actively promoting eco-friendly practices across various sectors in Scotland.
