New EV charging and convenience hub opens in London

February 18th, 2025

A new dedicated electric vehicle (EV) charging and convenience hub has opened on Cromwell Road in Hammersmith, London. The site, operated by BP, has replaced traditional fuel pumps with five ultra-fast BP Pulse 300kW chargers, each capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously under a covered canopy.

The location also features a redesigned convenience store, including an upgraded Wild Bean Café and an expanded M&S Food selection. BP sees this as part of its broader strategy to enhance its mobility and convenience network across the UK, combining EV charging with premium retail services.

As more than half of BP’s UK customers visit its sites primarily for shopping, the company plans to expand similar hubs and adapt offerings based on customer feedback.
