Shell has delayed work on biofuels plant

London-based firm Shell has confirmed that it has paused the onsite construction work on one of Europe’s largest planned biofuel facilities in The Netherlands where it had planned to convert waste into HVO (renewable diesel).
This news is a blow to Shell’s biofuel plans and may cause concern that the oil companies are cooling on their low-carbon projects.
