UK’s largest ultra-rapid EV charging hub opens in Winchester

The UK’s largest ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging station has opened near the A34 and M3 in Winchester, Hampshire. The InstaVolt Superhub features 44 ultra-rapid chargers, designed to provide high-speed, reliable charging for EV drivers.
The site incorporates an on-site solar farm with 870 panels and battery storage to enhance sustainability. Charging costs 85p per kilowatt, with an off-peak rate of 54p.
Designed to accommodate a range of vehicles, the hub includes accessible bays, larger vehicle spaces, a Starbucks cafe, a children’s play area, a dog walking zone, and 24/7 toilet facilities.
