A stolen fuel card may be used to purchase fuel fraudulently which can result in significant losses. If a fuel card is lost or stolen you should immediately report it to your provider so that they can cancel the card and prevent this from happening. Most providers will cancel the card straight away and issue a replacement.

  • Request a replacement
    Most providers will issue a new card quickly, often within a few days.
  • Check for unauthorised transactions
    Review recent fuel purchases to ensure no fraudulent activity has taken place.

    If applicable, set up PIN protection or tracking features to enhance card security.
  • Notify drivers or staff
    If the card was assigned to a driver or team you will need to inform them that it the card has been cancelled and provide an alternative fuel payment solution until the new card arrives.
